Pine Tar it is known for its potential to soothe and nourish the skin. It is thought that it can help with dryness and itchiness, and that it has antibacterial and anti-fungal qualities.  
Activated charcoal, known for its absorbent qualities, can draw impurities from the skin. In soap, it acts as a gentle exfoliant removing excess oil.
 
It has a blend of essential oils. These aromatic compounds give a crisp pine tree forest, minty, and camphorous scent with an earthy undernote.
